mama, un libro por favor™ |

| Project Implementation Methodology | First, the project has to be two ways : Aid to artisans, and a project for the community. Second, the implementation of the project has to be in a poor area. Third, Mama works with existing group of artisans, upgrading skills but not usually teaching basic skills. Fourth, Mama, seeks fundings for projects. |
| Product development | Mama starts with product development in order to stimulate interest, excitement ans early sales opportunities. The idea is different from many different other groups. If the personal creativity and culturals traditions of artisans are preserved, the goal is to help them to create more "modern" and "design" creations. |
| Business training | Business skills are the foundation for product development and market links, so nearly every project involves some type of training: formal or informal; in groups, one-on-one or a combination of both; for well-educated entrepreneurs and illiterate artisans. Components of the business training have evolved to now include instruction in costing and pricing, production planning and management, distribution, quality control, packing and shipping, billing and collecting, customer service, export documentation, and Europ, US and international buying cycles and trends. |
| Sales & Marketing | Mama, links artisans links artisans to the marketplace, connecting them to customers, importers or businesses with which they can develop lasting professional relationships. Mama’s strategy is to link artisan businesses to the buyers, make sure that the relationship is strong enough to last, and then get out of the way. Mama’s reasoning is that buyers will provide many of the services that Mama provides during the project: product development, marketing, and business mentoring as well as the financing that Mama will never provide directly. These relationships take time to build. Mama seeks to remain connected to artisans groups post-project, and where possible recommend new buyers or assist in solving problems with existing buyers. |
| Changing markets | Changing market requires additional training products: An increasingly competitive global market compels Mama to provide a higher level of training, particularly in product design and in identifying new markets. Teaching innovation as a process is becoming a more central part of Mama’s training. |
